What is Restylane? How Does It Work?
- Restylane is a FDA-approved dermal filler made of clear biodegradable gel that is composed of hyaluronic acid, to correct and moderate severe wrinkles and folds.
Procedure
- Treatment takes approximately 30 minutes
- Topical anesthesia may be administered to numb treatment area
- Restylane filler is then injected into the skin with a needle or cannula
Recovery
- Patients are able to return to work immediately following the procedure
- It is recommended that patients avoid extreme sunlight and heat following treatment
- A follow up maintenance treatment at 4.5 or nine months can extend results up to 18 months
